With a proud legacy of over 46 years, the college has been serving the higher-education needs of students in the remote Himalayan region of Uttarakhand by providing a conducive academic and co-curricular environment for their holistic development. The institution is committed to imparting quality education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels through the optimal utilization of its academic and physical infrastructure, while promoting programmes aligned with the social and economic needs of the nation.

Being a government institution, the college is administered by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand, and is affiliated to Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal, which prescribes the course structure, syllabi, and examination system. Our overarching objective is to achieve global standards of excellence in education, training, and research.
