NATIONAL CADET CORPS (13 SD PLATOON GPGC KARANPRAYAG)
The college's NCC senior division platoon (13SD) is an accessory branch of Unit 1 UK Battalion, which is based in Gopeshwar, Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. The college NCC platoon has strength of 70 cadets, in which both boys and girls participate. The army wing of the NCC started in college on November 26, 2007. The NCC is treated as the second line of defence of the nation, and the NCC cadets are imparted military training at schools and colleges with the help of defence personnel. The vision of NCC activities is to develop personality, confidence, leadership qualities, obedience and a sense of patriotism in the cadets. Besides this, the cadets are encouraged to join the Indian Defense Forces as a career. The following are the specifics of NCC activities over the last five years:
