CHEMISTRY LABORATORY
The department of chemistry has a well-developed laboratory. The students carry out their practical works in the laboratory under the guidance of faculty members Dr. Y. C. Nainwal, Mr. Kamlesh Lohani and Dr. S. C. Sati. The laboratory assistants, Mr. Sanjay Negi and Mr. Pawan Bhandari also provide their support to students during the practical classes. The laboratory attendants, Mr. Anoop Singh and Mr. Badrish help students supply the requisite instruments and chemicals for the practical task assigned to them.
The chemistry lab has all the facilities needed to carry out the practical work assigned to the students. Besides it, the laboratory is also equipped with advanced research facilities like the availability of Double Beam as well as Single Beam UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Distillation assembly, Rotatory Plant Extract Evaporator, Water bath, Conductometer, pH meter, Hot plate, Soxhlet apparatus and Clevenger apparatus.
Apart from it, all required chemicals, electronic balances, chemical balances, glasswares, oven and furnace are also available for the smooth conduct of practical work. Every year, whatever grant is obtained to procure lab facilities is consumed completely to assist the students and generate their interest in research activities.

PHYSICS LABORATORY
About the Laboratory: The Department of Physics has two laboratories, one for undergraduates along with a dark room and another for postgraduates. As per the students' strength, the laboratory is partially equipped with apparatus. There are separate experiments for each class. We have experiments as per the university syllabus in each class. In the postgraduate programmes, there are electronic based experiments. Currently, in the laboratory, there are four types of experiments that are in working condition. In the future, we are expected to install more experiments in the laboratory to meet the demands of students.
Mechanics based: Bar Pendulum, Kater’s Pendulum. Flywheel, Max well’s Needle, Bending of Beam, Barton’s Apparatus (Horizontal and Vertical Methods), Ply Wheel, Inertia Table. Basic knowledge and measurement by Screw Gauge and Vernier Callipers.
Light based: Newton’s Ring, resolving power of Telescope, Nodal Slide, Sextant, L.B. Photometer, Spectrometer, Photo cell, Heat Based: Lee’s Disc method, Thermal conductivity rubber tube.
Electronics : Hall Effect, Colpitt Oscillator, modulation ,demodulation, Study of CRO, Half and full wave rectifier, transistors (PNP and NPN) with different configurations, P-N Junction diode, Zener Diode, LCR Circuit parallel and series combination, Network theorems, MOSFET, DIAC, RC and TC Couple, VR Tube. Frequency of A.C. mains, Lissjous figures Bridge rectifier, IC based experiments, Adders.

BOTANY LABORATORY
The department has a well-equipped and well-managed laboratory for UG and PG courses offered by the university. Important equipments present in the department include Autoclave, Centrifuges, various types of microscopes such as Compound, Binocular, Trinocular Research Microscope with camera, BOD incubator, Mini Horizontal Gel electrophoresis, Digital balance, Herbarium cabinet, Digital pH meter, etc. Department has well established facility for cytological studies of mitosis and meiosis. There is a Spectrophotometry (both single beam and double beam) facility (attached to the chemistry department) available for PG students. Our laboratory provides a setting for students to explore biological questions relevant to plants while developing fundamental skills in the field of botany through a combination of field and laboratory experiments.
ZOOLOGY LABORATORY
The Department of Zoology has one laboratory for UG & PG students. Faculty made every effort to conduct as many experiments as possible using the department's instruments, equipment, and chemicals, such as microtomy, chromatography, hydrobiology and haematology experiments, permanent mounting, and biochemistry experiments. Excluding the above experiments, the department has the necessary instruments, viz., compound and binocular microscopes, LED projector and computer, etc.

GEOGRAPHY LABORATORY
It is not possible to make geography teaching effective without making use of maps, charts, globe etc. Like any other science laboratory, a workshop or laboratory in geography creates a congenial atmosphere and stimulates the imagination of the students and inspires them.
The department's laboratory is well equipped with a series of maps, globes, and a variety of survey equipments like Thermometer, Barometer, wet and dry bulb Thermometer, Plane Table Set, Prismatic Compass, Dumpy Level, Theodolite, Abney Level, Clinometer Compass, Levelling Staff, Automatic Level etc.
The department also organises field trips for the students to study the natural occupancy of various facts and inform them about physical changes with the help of the Global Positioning System and Geographic Information System available on the internet.
The laboratory specialises in the development of qualitative and quantitative research skills, methods and techniques in geography such as practical cartography, Quantitative and Statistical Techniques, Field Survey method, Geography Informatics compressing techniques such as Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS etc. Now-a-days graphic aids are a powerful medium for teaching and learning which includes pantographs, flash and strips and pictures etc.
